Note: prime:vocal v1.0.0 supports ARA only in a beta version. As a result, processing may occasionally be unstable and could lead to unexpected crashes. For a detailed list of known issues related to prime:vocal's ARA support, please visit this page.
In Reaper, ARA plug-ins are added to the plug-in chain like any other plug-in. Reaper will make sure that the plug-in is loaded as the first plug-in in the processing chain.
- Create a new audio track in your Reaper session.
- Add one or multiple audio clips to the track.
- Click the 'FX' button to open the list of available plug-ins.
- Navigate to VST3 prime:vocal and select it.
- prime:vocal now opens like a standard audio effect in a plug-in window and the ARA analysis process starts automatically.
Notes for Using ARA in Reaper
- Due to the specifications of ARA, only a single instance of prime:vocal exists, even if it has been loaded onto multiple tracks. Therefore, when opening the plug-in window, ensure that the tab of the track you want to edit is selected.
