If the activation process fails, the plug-in displays an error message with information necessary for troubleshooting.
Before continuing, you should make sure that you have the latest version of the plug-in installed. You can find the download in the 'Downloads' section of "My Account". Also, a stable internet connection is needed during the process.
Below, you can information and instructions for common issues. Expand the section that matches your error message.
No remaining registration available for this license key
This error will display if the maximum number of active devices (2) has been reached. Go to the dashboard of your Sonible account and revoke one of your previous device activations. If possible, open the plugin once more on the device you just revoked to complete the deactivation process. You can always re-activate if you need to. See "How do I manage my activations?" for more info on our licensing system.
If you're seeing this message on a device you've used before, it's possible that significant changes - such as a change in hardware or an operating system update - have altered the device ID. In such cases a fresh activation will be required.
If there are more than 3 pending device activations and you want to activate on a new device, contact support.
Restricted - No processing
If “Restricted - No processing” is shown on the top left corner of the plugin, please click on it, in order to open the registration window. Once a valid license key is entered and the registration was succesfull, the plugin is fully functional again.
Device ID does not match license file
This error occurs, when an invalid license file is present on system. The fix is straight forward: Find and delete the file and re-register your plugin with your license key.
Sonible license files are called sdid.son.
On MacOS, the file will be in:
~/Library/Application Support/com.sonible.plugin-name
On Windows, the file will be in:
C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\com.sonible.plugin-name
License Revoked
The activation was revoked for this device. To activate the plugin on this device again, open the Dashboard, find the device under “My Licenses” and "re-activate". Note that there can’t be more than two active devices simultaneously. If re-activation fails, you might need to revoke another device activation first. See "How do I manage my activations?" for more info on our licensing system.
If the re-activation was successful, register the plugin again with the license key.
License Server Unreachable
For the registration process a stable internet connection is required. Also make sure that your firewall does not block your DAW from accessing the internet.
Open these test links and send screenshots of the results to the support team:
Connection test, Server 01
Connection test, Server 02
Connection test, Server 03
Connection test, Server 04
If these links were successful, something on your system (e.g. firewall) is specifically blocking your DAW from accessing the internet. Check the settings. VPNs can also mess with the network.
Your Trial has expired
In general, the plugin will try to launch in trial mode, when it’s not activated.
This error will show if the trial was first activated more than 30 days ago.
If you have a license key, (re-)register the plugin with it. You can open the license key entry dialog via the "register now" button on the settings menu.
If you want to test the plugin, contact support for a trial extension.
